As part of our residency, each cohort of fellows was responsible for diving deeply into understanding the school district we work for. The DPLA cohort researched our districts academic content, demographics, NC Report card data, community programs, parent support networks and services, vocabulary content, and community connects to the district. It was important for us to know and understand the district we would be working in. We visited schools and walked through classes. We talked to teachers and students alike to see what each school was like. We created a website to show our findings, reflections, content and resources.
